Vintage John Molloy Fisherman Knit Sweater, made in Ireland. Hand-dyed with Cutch in Napa, CA. By using food waste as a way to add beautiful color to cloth we hope to reduce waste and ensure that what goes on your skin is good for you and the environment.

Acacia (also known as cutch) is a dye that uses the heartwood of the cutch tree, Acacia catechu. It is a colorfast and wash-fast dye that has been used in India since ancient times. One-of-a-kind.

    We encourage you to spot clean and spray with a mixture of lavender (or any other antimicrobial essential oil) and water while the garment is inside-out for a refresh. Washing less helps to extend the life of your garment. 
When necessary hand wash in cold water with gentle detergent and lay flat to dry.

Plant dyed items are all dyed by hand; saturation dye patterns tend to not be uniform (which is a characteristic that we LOVE). Please enjoy and appreciate this item with its unique character.
