Printed jacquard silk dress by Paul Louis Orrier Paris for Saks Fifth Avenue from the early 1980s. This Haute Couture beauty is made from a jacquard weave silk printed with bold stripes and a crackle print that feels like butter against your skin. Exaggerated balloon sleeves with a cuff and button closure at the wrist. Covered buttons down the center back with an additional snap and hook and eye closure at the waist. The skirt portion of the dress features pleats sewn from the waist (elastic) to below the hip where they are released. The skirt is fully lined with silk. Impeccable construction and finishing. Original Saks Fifth Avenue tag attached with retail price set at $1710.00. Exceptional early 80s French Couture piece. Super cool with sneakers or dressed up with heels.
